Henley-on-Thames

Henley-on-Thames is a picturesque town full of history. The 13th century church, impressive town hall and market square are worth a visit. The bustling market which is held every Thursday has been in existence for many years and it is thought to have been authorised by King John. There are also many boutiques in Henley town centre which are worth browsing. There are many walks to be enjoyed along the river or if you'd prefer you can hire a boat.

Henley is the world famous centre for rowing. The Henley regatta takes place annually over several days from the end of June to the beginning of July.

The rowing connection continues in The Old Bakery as we are silversmiths and make jewellery with sports themes such as rowing, sailing, rugby and golf. Our jewellery collection can be seen at www.mason-designs.com.

Nearby Marlow is another charming town on the River Thames and is full of independent shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs. You can walk through Higginson Park and along the river (where boats can be hired) or down to the lock. From here you can see Marlow suspension bridge and All Saints Church.
